Minutes of special LCC meeting (applications to £44k fund) - 4 April 2022

Welcome, attendance & apologies:

2. Intro: AB £44k. Suggestions by LCC for funding allocation to be approved by RDC. General aims are to

Requests submitted mean that we are oversubscribed by £20k plus.


3. XL spreadsheet breakdown shows decision pathway.

Applications split into three categories after confidential vote by LCC members

i) Fully funded

ii) Declined in full (compost, fertiliser, signage, calendar)

iii) Partial funding: evening discussion to allocate fixed sums to these projects as follows.


Willow structure: declined . local (free option) more environmentally valid/educational.

Dementia friendly: film licence approved. Coach hire is an operational cost (two trips) so declined but a donation to funds from any remainder.

Samba band: partial 40%

Youth project water: 100%

Youth IT: partial (hardware only) two lap tops and one printer

Youth camping kit: high-cost items bell tents and stoves £2896.

Lochwinnoch welcomes: £1600 fully funded


Parent council water gear: 75% funding

Cooking equipment: £2000

Toddler group: organisers voluntarily withdrew request as happy with other award.

Defibs: fully funded £4980

Arts fest: Partial fund. Hardware only = £500 lighting. Decline other operational costs.

Community gardens: Partial funding £1800 for raised beds and top soil and £400 plants

Gala day: £5500

Bowling club: £8000
